Helpful Answers Before Your First Sunday

What Should I Know Before My First Visit?

We want your first visit to be simple, clear, and free of pressure. There is plenty of on-site parking, and while there is no formal dress code, most people wear modest and respectful attire. Sunday School begins at 9:30 AM, with classes for children, youth, college-age adults, and older adults. Morning worship begins at 11:00 AM, and evening worship begins at 6:00 PM. During the main services, families are encouraged to worship together, though childcare is available for children ages 0–3 if needed. If you found us by searching for a church near me and want to know what your first Sunday will be like, we would be glad to help before you arrive.

What Is Your Worship Service Like?

Our worship is reverent, biblical, and centered on God rather than performance. As a Presbyterian church in Greenville, we gather to sing Psalms and hymns, pray together, read Scripture, and sit under the preaching of God’s Word. We use the Authorized Version (KJV) in all our services, including responsive readings. We also encourage wholehearted congregational singing, because worship is something the whole church offers together.

How Would You Describe the Preaching at FFPC?

Our preaching is expository, Christ-centered, and earnest. We want every sermon to explain the Bible clearly, apply it faithfully, and bring people face to face with Jesus Christ. At Faith, you will hear the gospel preached plainly: salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. If you are looking for a Bible-preaching church in Greenville, that commitment is at the heart of who we are.

Will I Find Genuine Community Here?

We hope so. We do not want church to feel like a crowd you slip into and out of unnoticed. There are natural opportunities to get to know people here, whether in conversation between services, at our weekly Sunday evening fellowship meal, or through the pastoral care of our elder groups. If you are looking for a Reformed church in Greenville where you can be known, cared for, and encouraged, we would be glad to meet you.

I’m a Baptist. Am I Welcome?

Yes, warmly. While we are Presbyterian in doctrine and church government, we gladly welcome believers from Baptist backgrounds. Our denomination, the FPCNA, holds an open-policy regarding baptism. We recognize that baptism convictions matter, yet we also want likeminded Christians to stand together for the cause of Christ. Our policy allows both infant-baptists and believers-baptist Christians to participate fully in the life of the church—no limitations. If you are a Baptist looking for a faithful church near you, Faith FPC is just as viable an option as any baptist church.

Can I Speak with a Pastor or Elder?

Yes. If you have questions about the church, your spiritual life, or anything you have read on the site, our pastor and elders would be glad to speak with you. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you would like to talk, ask for prayer, or learn more about Faith Free Presbyterian Church, just contact the church office and we will help you connect.

How Is Faith Free Presbyterian Church Different?

If you are looking for more than a church service to attend, Faith may be the kind of church you have been hoping to find. We are not built around entertainment, trends, or a consumer approach to church. We aim to keep the main things central: Christ-centered preaching, reverent worship, earnest prayer, and real Christian fellowship. Three priorities shape our life together:

Spiritual Depth — growing in Christ through biblical preaching, prayer, and discipleship.
Genuine Fellowship — building meaningful relationships through worship, shared meals, and life together.
Meaningful Service — reaching Greenville and beyond with the gospel through personal witness and organized outreach.

If you are looking for a Presbyterian church in Greenville where Christ is central, worship is reverent, and fellowship is sincere, we would be glad to welcome you.

What Is Faith Free Presbyterian Church?

Faith Free Presbyterian Church is a conservative, Reformed church in Greenville committed to the authority of Scripture, Christ-centered expository preaching, reverent worship, and the historic Christian faith summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith. We are also a Presbyterian church in Greenville, which means we believe church life should be shaped by biblical doctrine, godly leadership, prayer, discipleship, and real fellowship. We want doctrine, worship, and daily life to hold together.

What Is Expository Preaching?

Expository preaching means that the sermon grows out of the Bible text itself. Instead of starting with personal opinions or current trends, the preacher explains what God has said in Scripture and applies it to everyday life. Often that means preaching through books of the Bible passage by passage. The goal is not novelty, but clarity, conviction, comfort, and growth through God’s Word.

Are You One of the Liberal Presbyterian Churches in Greenville?

No. Faith is a conservative, Reformed, Presbyterian church in Greenville committed to the authority and inerrancy of Scripture and to the historic gospel of Jesus Christ. While some Presbyterian churches have moved away from historic Christian doctrine, we gladly stand in the Reformed faith and seek to remain faithful to God’s Word. At the same time, we want that faithfulness to be joined with warmth, humility, and sincere love for Christ and His people.

How Can I Get Involved If I Start Attending?

The first step is simple: come regularly and get to know the life of the church. Attend worship, Sunday School, prayer meetings, and fellowship meals. As relationships grow, there are many ways to serve. People at Faith serve in music, teaching, hospitality, children’s ministry, and outreach. We want people not only to attend, but to grow, belong, and serve with joy.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I praise the Lord for the ministry of this church. My soul has been profoundly blessed and my love for Christ and His people has greatly increased under this church. It amazes me how the Lord is using the faithful preaching of His Word to transform me the way that He is. It’s hard to describe unless you come. Come and be fed by solid preaching. For those who aren’t saved, come and hear, since it’s only by the hearing and believing of the Word of God that we can be saved by faith in Jesus Christ the Lord.
