Lalo Peña has been married to Liz for 28 years and is the proud father of four children and grandfather of four. He came to faith at the age of 22 and served in a charismatic church from 1992 until 2002, when he and his family moved to Córdoba, Veracruz. In 2010, while serving as the director of the Bible school in his charismatic congregation, Lalo experienced a profound theological shift. His deep study of the Protestant Reformation, especially the Remonstrant Controversy of the Netherlands, led to significant personal and familial transformation. This journey resulted in his departure from the charismatic movement in 2013.
That same year, Lalo began studying at a Particular Baptist theological seminary and started a ministry in Córdoba. In 2014, he met Jason Boyle and came under the care of the Presbytery of North America. After a long process, Lalo was licensed in August 2022, and on July 9, 2023, he was ordained when Córam Deo Free Presbyterian Church was constituted.
Please pray for revival in the local church, leading to spiritual maturity among its members, and for numerical growth, particularly of families and men who will continue the Reformation through the faithful preaching of God’s Word and prayer.
