Ministries

Church and community ministry is an important part of life at Faith. When you become a part of our church there is always plenty to do.

However, your burdens and gifts may be in an area not yet expressed through the life of our congregation. If that is the case, we want to know about it. It is the desire of the elders to equip the saints for ministry and to encourage them to serve the Lord faithfully and joyfully.

Sabbath School

Throughout the year, our church has a program of instruction for all ages every Sunday at 9:30 am before morning worship. Our children’s classes include singing, instruction from historical narratives in the Bible, and encouragement in the memorization of Scripture and the Westminster Shorter Catechism. 2-5 year olds – Mrs. Rhonda Little 1st and 2nd Grade – Mrs. Sue Farr 3rd and 4th Grade – Mrs. Debbie Overly 5th and 6th Grade – Mrs. Ketta Ludwig High School – Dr.…

Summer Youth Camp

Every year in July, young people from across our denomination gather for a week of games, fellowship, and relevant instruction from the Scriptures. Down through the years this week has been used by God to change hearts and direct young people to give their lives to Jesus Christ. If you would like your children to be a part of the Youth Camp this year, please get in touch.

Seniors’ Fellowship

Once a month on Thursday afternoons, the senior members of Faith meet together for a time of fellowship. These gatherings include special testimonies, musical items, Bible quizzes, and other encouraging contributions and light-hearted fun. It’s often someone’s birthday as well, so birthday cake is a regular addition to the afternoon lunch. If you are a senior, you are very welcome to join us. Call or email to find out when the next seniors’ fellowship is planned.

Spanish Outreach

A number of the members of our congregation have developed a ministry to Spanish-speaking children in the area, and hold a Saturday afternoon kid’s club to do craft, sing, and share the gospel. Speak to Rev. Thomassian if you would like to help with this ministry.

Boys’ Home Ministry

The Lord has graciously opened a door of service for our congregation in two facilities that care for teenage boys in great need. Members of Faith minister to them by teaching them the Word of God and pointing them to the God of peace and hope for troubled and sinful souls. If you would like to be involved, please speak to Rev. Armen Thomassian.

Geneva Reformed Seminary

Faith shares its location with the seminary of our denomination, Geneva Reformed Seminary. In keeping with the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition of requiring the education of ministers, the primary goal of Geneva Reformed Seminary is to prepare men to be preachers. It is our desire to produce preachers who know God and His word, and who can passionately, effectively, and accurately communicate the word of God to others. Getting from the text of Scripture to the pulpit is the target…

Young People’s Fellowship

Our 12-18 year olds are under the direction of one of our pastoral interns, Logan Elder, and his wife. The young people meet on the fourth Friday of the month (6:00 – 9:00 PM). The format can change, but usually there are games, food, and a study of the Scriptures. This is an important time in the lives of our young people, and we want to help them not only in their understanding of the gospel, but also to have…

Student Ministry

For many years, Faith Free Presbyterian Church has sought to be an encouragement and support to students of Bob Jones University. Recognizing that many students have had to relocate, we want to do what we can to be a blessing to young people that are studying at BJU (or anywhere else). Many students throughout the years have worshipped with us at Faith FPC, joining in with our College and Careers (Sunday, 9:30am, see more info below), our worship services (Sunday…
