Men, you’re invited to a special morning of fellowship, food, and biblical teaching at our annual Men’s Reformation Breakfast!
One of the great cries of the Protestant Reformation was Sola Scriptura—Scripture Alone. This conviction, that the Bible is the final authority for faith and life, brought Martin Luther into direct conflict with the Roman Catholic Church and helped change the course of Christian history.
This year, we’re privileged to welcome Rev. John Greer, who will speak on “Luther’s Departure from Rome.” What led Luther to challenge the authority of Rome? What convictions compelled him to take his stand? And what can Christian men today learn from his courage and commitment to Scripture?
About Rev. John Greer
Rev. Greer has devoted nearly fifty years to the work of gospel ministry, faithfully preaching and pastoring on both sides of the Atlantic. After beginning his ministry in rural Northern Ireland, he moved to Philadelphia, PA, to pioneer a new congregation, which, under God’s blessing, grew into a thriving church. In 2000, he returned to Northern Ireland, where he continued an influential ministry until his retirement in 2024.
Alongside his pastoral responsibilities, Rev. Greer has helped train many young men for the ministry, teaching subjects including New Testament Greek, Exegesis, and Systematic Theology.
