Funeral for Roll McEndollar

Roll Eugene McEndollar, 84, passed into the presence of his Savior on September 11, 2026. He was born in Peoria, Illinois on March 12, 1942, and shortly thereafter was adopted by Willard E. and Blanch L. (Irey) McEndollar.

Roll graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria, Illinois in 1960 and completed a diploma program at Midstate College of Commerce in 1964 in the same city. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina in 1973 and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina in 1976. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1963 to 1969 and was honorably discharged.

Roll taught at Bob Jones Academy from 1973 until 1989. He worked for several Greenville area businesses after that, retiring from Garner’s Natural Market & Café.

Roll was known as an artist, particularly for his calligraphy. For many years he personally designed and silkscreened Christmas cards that he sent to his friends. Those cards are still treasured by many.

Most importantly, Roll professed faith in Jesus Christ at the age of five and was known as a dedicated Christian by all who knew him well.

Roll is survived by his sister, Vanna (Chuck) Zeigler, of Peoria, Illinois.

After a private burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Free Presbyterian Church, 1207 Haywood Road, Greenville, South Carolina where Roll was a member.
